David joined Catesby Estates in January 2013 as Planning Director having worked in housebuilding, planning consultancy and property development, across a broad range of mixed use projects throughout the UK. 

A distinguished career in planning

He became Planning and Operations Director in May 2020, and also sits on the Urban&Civic Executive Management Committee and Senior Strategy Group as part of his role within the parent company and wider group activities.

David started his career as Land and Planning Manager at Cala Homes and has previously worked as a Planning Consultant for CBRE in London. Prior to his move to Catesby Estates he was Head of Town Planning for Morston Assets Ltd.

Member of multiple committees related to the housebuilding and land promotion sector

David is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and the Home Builders Federation National Planning Committee.  He was part of the founding member group of The Land, Planning and Development Federation (LPDF) and also sits on their Technical and Policy Committee.
