Catesby Estates plc, is pleased to announce planning permission has been granted for 200 houses on a 15 acre site in Abingdon, by Vale of White Horse Council.
Following an application back in May 2017, the Vale of White Horse District Council’s planning committee, unanimously voted to follow the Planning Officer’s recommendations and resolved to grant outline planning permission in November 2017.
Housebuilders are expected to be onsite late 2018 with first sales in 2019.
Grant Stevenson, Associate Planning Director for Catesby Estates said; “Our proposed development was strongly supported with over 120 people registering interest in the new homes.”
“We secured the removal of the site from the Green Belt and its allocation for residential development in the recently adopted Local Plan. The team subsequently worked hard to deliver a sensitively designed layout with 35% affordable housing, significant new public open space, children’s play areas and pathways and cycle routes.”
