The 15 acre site located off Dunmore Road was removed from the Green Belt and allocated for residential development in the adopted Local Plan.
Those looking to get onto the housing ladder were handed a boost by the Vale of White Horse District Council, following the planning committee’s decision to approve plans for much needed new homes in the area.
A planning application was submitted in April 2017, and outline planning consent was granted in February 2018 by the Vale of White Horse District Council’s Planning Committee, who unanimously voted to follow the Planning Officer’s recommendations for approval.
The site delivers 200 new homes, 35% affordable housing, together with new public open space and children’s play areas.
In April 2018, Catesby Estates successfully completed the sale of a residential development site in Abingdon, Oxfordshire to David Wilson Homes.
