Last week the Catesby team went along to the annual employee event hosted by our parent company Urban&Civic. Held at U&C’s Waterbeach site, there was over 100 people in attendance, bringing together employees from across the U&C and Catesby Estates businesses.
Day 1 featured updates from across the business and sites, plus a housebuilder discussion panel with Cala Group Limited, Stonebond and Morris Homes Ltd, and a very competitive treasure hunt around the lake!
For those that remember the show, the creative for the day was themed around the Krypton Factor with teams competing in observation, physical, intelligence, mental agility and response rounds to win points for their team.
The event was held in a tipi by the lake, which meant added logistics from getting power and toilets to the site as well as organising street food and an ice cream truck to help keep everyone cool in the afternoon!
Day 2 was all about health and wellbeing with a range of activities on offer from yoga and mindfulness, to stand-up paddleboarding, military assault course and learn to paint sessions with a local artist.
Representing Catesby on the working group responsible for organisation and acting as event leads was Katie Yates alongside her U&C colleague Johanne Thomas.
Both did an amazing job in delivering this event alongside other members of the working group; Hannah Craig, Harry Stewart, Bruce Callander, Nigel Wakefield and Madalyn Smith.
This was the fourth year of them leading on the event, and their organisation skills are now so well honed they even managed to arrange wall to wall sunshine for the two days!
