As part of Mental Health Awareness Week (from May 13th to May 17th), members of Catesby got out into the countryside near our head office with a lunch time team walk around Jubilee Woodland in Crick as a nod to this year's theme of "Movement."
We believe that movement, both physical and metaphorical, plays a crucial role in maintaining good mental health.
Here are a few reasons why group work walks are a great idea:
- Increased creativity: Walking stimulates creative thinking and problem-solving, making it an ideal environment for brainstorming sessions.
- Boosted energy levels: Walking increases blood flow and oxygen to the brain, helping to improve focus and concentration.
- Enhanced mood: Spending time outdoors and getting some exercise can elevate mood and reduce stress levels.
- Improved health: Walking is a low-impact form of exercise that can contribute to better cardiovascular health and overall fitness.
So, let’s lace up our shoes, hit the paths and make today a step in the right direction for our mental and physical health!
Many thanks to Laura Aldridge our work place Mental Health Champion for organising this for us.
