70 local residents turned out to speak to the Catesby Estates team about their proposed plans for delivering new homes and land for a new primary school.
Local stakeholders were invited along to the SMTA Hall to view the plans and offer their feedback for proposals on the 10.6 acres of land East of Ivel Road, Shefford.
Feedback included the recognised need for affordable housing and the lack of capacity at existing educational facilities, as well as valuable insight into what local residents thought on the layout of the proposed development and their ideas for improvements to landscaping and access.
We will be using the feedback received to shape the final plans before submitting our outline planning application to Central Bedfordshire Council later this summer after which the Council will then determine the application.
Should the application be approved, we will then work with housebuilders to deliver a range of new homes, with the first homes being ready for occupation late 2019/early 2020.
