Last week the Catesby team went along to the annual employee away day event hosted by our parent company Urban&Civic.
Held in Corby at the Core Theatre at the Cube, there were over 100 people in attendance, bringing together employees from across the U&C and Catesby Estates businesses.
Day one featured updates from across the business, a presentation from Paddy Lambert of Oxford Archaeology about the finds at U&C’s Priors Hall Park site in Corby, along with a community stakeholder panel session focused on Corby.
Since the event was hosted in a theatre it only seemed right that the day had a theatrical theme, using the Greatest Showman as its inspiration.
Day one ended with dinner, drinks and live music, and day 2 featured a range of activities that linked back to wider business policies such as health and wellbeing, learning and development and teambuilding.
Employees were given the opportunity to take part in laughter yoga, circus skills and balloon modelling, non-contact stage combat training and finally taking to the stage in our West End workshop.
Leading on organising and delivering this event was Catesby’s Marketing and Communications Director, Katie Yates alongside her U&C colleague Johanne Thomas.
Both did an amazing job in delivering this event supported by other members of the working group; Hannah Craig, Harry Stewart, Caroline May, Mark Redding, Nigel Wakefield and Madalyn Smith.
